About Me

Posted by Breezy on September 20th, 2008

Welcome to “A Bowl of Moss and Pebbles” where I post about my life, art, and ponderings.

I love living with my father, mother and sister and serving the Lord along side them.  The Lord has been leading us on a life-long journey of learning to trust and follow Him.  We began home-educating while I was in the middle of first grade, and we can honestly say that it has been one of the biggest blessings in our lives.  It was along this path that God showed us the sufficiency of His Word and sovereignty of His will.

I am now a 19-year old homeschool graduate who still loves to read, study, and create art.  I am passionate about growing closer to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, homemaking, the Biblical Family, home-education Charlotte Mason-style, cultural and church reformation, and theology.  My interests include art, drawing, painting, children’s illustration and literature, writing, history, knitting, breathing in lungfulls of fresh air, spending time outdoors, and enjoying life to the fullest.

My sister Emily Rose and I own Noble Rose Press where we sell our original paper doll series, Daughters of His Story.  I also have an Etsy shop where I sell my art prints.

As I grow deeper in the love of God’s Word and learn to become a godly woman, I hope that you find my blog a place where you find encouragement, inspiration, and “scattered beams of heaven.”

God bless you on your journey,
—Breezy Brookshire

I love your artwork! It is beautiful. I especially love the “I was a stranger” picture. I was wondering, though, Do you have any that have a white woman/black child, black woman/ white child or anything like that? My husband and I are foster parents hoping to adopt our bi-racial foster children and would love something along those lines. Just a thought. Thanks for your time!

I just found the raising homemakers site, and of course your site as well. I got my degree in child development in college, and then I became a housewife until kids came, (coming soon actually). :) People thought I was crazy for not using my degree, but when kids come I will be able to use my degree everyday. Also, I would tell people, “if you are a Dr. you studied to be a Dr.- why are women not studying to be wives and mommies?”

I am so glad I found these sites! :)

Is there a way you could do custom art- like if I submitted a pic or something- I of course will pay you accordingly! :)

Hello, Breezy! I found your sister’s website and then found yours too. I’m really enjoying watching your creativity. I know your sister designed your site, but did you go through a certain server/web host? I’m hoping to start a website soon, but I’d love to find out who you went through.

By the way, I love the site!

I too love the b/w art in the original Narnia series! Your pictures are beautiful! I hope to homeschool and pray that my children are able to pursue their interests as fully as you seem to have done. Our family is a mix of bio and adopt so we have a multiracial family. I would buy any art you made with that premise…like the treehouse print but with multiracial children! Please email me if you ever do anything like that!! =) Blessings to you!

Hello -
I love your paper dolls! I create some myself, and I am trying to figure out a way to market them. Could you tell me what steps you went through to get them sold?

Thank you!
Rachel
